Wanted: Feedback on this newsletter
Should I change the name? What do you want more of? What would you pay for? Please let me know your thoughts.
Cool mailbox I found on pxhere.com
Question 1: The name
When I started this newsletter, I thought of it as a periodic missive with news about what I was up to. Hence the not-especially-creative name. Aside from saving the time I would have spent trying to come up with something meaningful or clever, calling it “Virginia’s Newsletter” made producing a little logo easy. But now that it’s turned into something more regular and serious, should I change the name? And, if so, to what?
Question 2: The contents
What do you like about what you’ve read? What would you like to see more of? Less? What haven’t I done that you’d like to see?
Question 3: Paid options
So far I’m still testing whether I can keep up a regular schedule, something I managed until I started teaching and then failed miserably at. So everything’s free right now. But, assuming I keep at it regularly, I’d like to add special features for paid subscribers. What might you be willing to pay for beyond what’s available now?
Please post your ideas in the comments or email me at vp@vpostrel.com. Thanks for subscribing!
"Virginia's Newsletter" has a direct simplicity that I like.
Keep the name. I like posts on culture with facts plus your commentary. I might start paying, but that would be independent of whethe there are special features.
