Adam Smith on Zoom

The paid-subscriber reading group kicks off 2024 with two selections from The Theory of Moral Sentiments.

Our first Reading Group discussion of the year will take place in two parts, on February 5 and 12 from 4:00-5:30pm Pacific time, 7:00-8:30pm Eastern. We’ll be discussing Adam Smith’s “Of the Effect of Utility upon the Sentiment of Approbation” and “Of the Character of Virtue” from The Theory of Moral Sentiments.
